I did green. I enjoyed doing green because the sweater I wore is thrifted. Not thrifty enough but not a new price. And the shirt is walmart. Shoes are ebay. And of course my slinky purple pants. I can't stand an all green look and black pants, no. Beige pants, dirty. Brown pants, boring. Don't own jeans, darnit.

The color of Royalty
I got these leather purple shoes by Esprit from ebay years ago. They even have a triangular heel. Then the bag from ebay months ago. It is all leather and I liked the triangle looking embellishment on the front. I thrifted the jacket/sweater/whatever it is. It's a cotten like knit. The rest is HSN Slink by Carolyn Strauss. I do try to get these pieces on sale. They are so comfortable and wash like a dream. I'm wearing Avon earrings and one of the rings was given to me by my BF and my daughter. They are friends. Anyway, I got hot and had to remove the jacket thing. Stacy and Clinton are all for jackets but I have a tendency to get hot easily. We'll see what happens this summer.
The other accessory is Cheyenne. Pups sure grow fast.

How I work it
I was asked a question in comments about ebaying. I have several things I try to do in order to not pay too much for anything.
One thing is a set maximum on the items I look at. It is usually 20 dollars. After setting the max price, I am only shown items for 20 dollars or less. However, this doesn't cover shipping. If I look at an item I really like and am willing to pay a lot I might bid on something with a high shipping cost. However. Most of the time I look at the item and the shipping cost together and ask myself if I am willing to pay that. If the item is won for 6 dollars and the shipping is 14 dollars I am unlikely to even bid on it. I try before I bid to keep to low shipping cost and fairly low item cost. But I always look at both before bidding.
Since I have finally discovered thrifting I am ebaying less. I wanted a plaid shirt and didn't care much what color as long as it was springy. I lucked into a plaid lavender shirt at Goodwill for 3 dollars. Obviously there was no way I would get anything from ebay for that price. Conversely I was able to buy 2 shirts with 2 matching camisoles for 12 dollars plus 6 for shipping. I consider that a bargain because I received 4 shirts in beautiful colors that fit well and feel good for 18 dollars. So it is all in what you are willing to spend.
While I am at it I would like to comment on knock-offs. I was, for a while, buying some knock off handbags from Craigslist. There has been a lot said about how the knock off takes money away from the designer and I thought, I wouldn't buy it at all because I couldn't afford anything but a knock-off. However, I now know the harm hits the designer in another way. There are certain styles of Coach, for instance, that I wouldn't buy because there are so many similar knock-offs. The same for Chanel and Louis Vuitton. Since the knock-offs are so prevalent, I wouldn't buy the real thing because there might be a knock-off of it out there somewhere. I have seen how these imitation bags can really be a problem. But I don't need any more bags anyway unless they ate thrifted.

I'm Reddy
Today I'm red. Tomorrow I'll be orange. Today I am wearing a brand new top that I got at Kohls last year and have never worn. I have been sensitive about things that are tight and this one is tight in the arms. With it I'm using a gray jacket I thrifted for 6 dollars at Goodwill. It was stained but washed really well. I'm also wearing a pair of earrings and 2 bracelets I made. And my slinky black pants. I have several pairs of slinky black pants. I am hoping to get to the point at some time in the future that I can wear woven fabric pants and have a waistline.
I think red is a happy color for winter. It doesn't fall into my scheme for Spring and by the time the next red day comes I'll have come to a fix for that.

Yep, I thrifted.
I am wearing my little jacket that I thrifted for a dollar. It says Kathryn Deene New York. I was really proud of it. As for the rest of the outfit, it is closet diggggs. You get up, look outside, see cold rain, look forward to a nasty day, and go to the closet to choose something comfortable. And I am wearing purple shoes and my favorite purple necklace. It has stopped raining now but it's still really cold and wet out there and I have to go out. I am so glad it stopped raining because I am really partial to flats. Flats have a tendency to flood easily. Yuck.
Today is Friday. I've been pretty good about taking pics and posting. And I am looking forward to the color week. I have plans to work on cleaning, cleaning out, and organizing my closet this weekend. I will be ready.
Have a happy.

I tried
I tried a bathroom shot. Too much light with flash, not enough without. I think I'll try something else next time. Anyway, I had found a great short sleeve green jacket that I paired with tan pants and cami. I love the outfit and it's something I wouldn't h ave had the nerve to try before the blog. I knew the jacket was really cute when I found it at Steinmart but didn't wear it for the longest time. Next I am looking for an outfit for a couple of other things I haven't had the nerve to wear.
I am also showing a couple of pics of bags I got for 6 dollars each at the thrift store. Both brand names and both in perfect shape. I went to another store today and found a cute dress(I don't have any dresses) and jeans jacket that will be great with the orange bag. It seems that this weekend I have been really lucky on the shopping, 3.75 for the dress and 1.00 for the jacket. I love thrifting and I wouldn't have learned to enjoy it without the wonderful blogs I have been reading.
