Judy, I'm so sorry!!! My love and support are with you in this difficult times! I lost my favorite pet of 14 years many years and I have never again been able to have any more dogs because of my daughter's allergies.
My heart goes out to you. My 17 year old cat passed away before Christmas and my combination german shephard/collie is 11 and has diabetes. It is amazing how attached we get to our pets. ~~Sherry~~
Oh my goodness, I am so sorry. I've never lost a dog of my own, but have cried for friends who have. They're such wonderful companions...no matter how old, so devestating to lose. Thoughts and prayers with you.
Judy, I am so sorry for this loss in your life. Our little Sophie is the light of our eyes. SHe is 14 years old and I cannot imagine our life without her or, how we ever lived without her before. We don't think of her as a pet, she is too personal to diminish her role in our family. My heart goes out to you. You have both been bless to have spent all those years together.
I am so grateful for the support of my fellow bloggers during this time. Losing Shadow is losing a family member, friend, companion, and one of the few people in my life who loved me no matter what. I also think it is doubly hard to decide when someone you love will pass away. All I know is it hurts and your caring helps.

I am so sorry.I love my fur babies and I cant pretend to know the feelin but I do hope the hurt is a lil less for you as time goes by.
